Re: HELP:- CAN YOU ID THIS ROD?
Thank you Olly for the info. There are so many “Hardy” similarities, the ferrules, the mention of steel centred rods and you say, the rings, but no sign of their “logo!”

Despite any number of similarities, the lack of a serial number on the butt cap would allow Hardy to be excluded from the list of maker candidates (or else confirm it, if present?).

Sadly John, no such serial number…John Milford wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2023 10:10 pm Despite any number of similarities, the lack of a serial number on the butt cap would allow Hardy to be excluded from the list of maker candidates (or else confirm it, if present?).

Re: HELP:- CAN YOU ID THIS ROD?
As an addendum to steel centres, Hardy mentioned the availability of steel centres in their 1958 catalogue but there is no mention of steel centres in the 1960 catalogue so it seems after 1959 -1960 steel centres were no longer advertised in their catalogues. Other rod makers may of followed the trend and also stopped using them in their rods.
