A Rising River

A rising river earlier this week meant that I grabbed the chance for a short session on the Dorset Stour trying to catch roach before conditions deteriorated and the weather got much colder:

Another very nice video ... thankyou! If you substitute the roach for gudgeon, and the chub for a ruffe, it would be like many of my afternoon sessions on the Colne (with maggots), back in the seventies. Interestingly enough, we had a rare warm afternoon on Friday, so I tried the open-ended feeder/bread method on the Grand River, in Lansing. I caught catfish between 2 and 3 pounds on every cast!
