Another reel I have managed to grab for a bargain price. I plan to pair it up with my Hardy County.

This royal throne of kings, this sceptered isle,
This happy breed of men, this little world,
This precious stone set in the silver sea,
This blessed plot, this earth, this realm, this England.

There’s one in my local antiques emporium… I’m tempted but these days I mostly use a centrepin for virtually all of my angling…

Re: Hardy Exalta
Yes I do too but this one will be used with my Hardy spinning rods. Now that I amused to using a centre pin I much prefer them to fixed spool reels.RBTraditional wrote: ↑Sat Mar 23, 2024 5:01 pm There’s one in my local antiques emporium… I’m tempted but these days I mostly use a centrepin for virtually all of my angling…

Re: Hardy Exalta
Evening All, The Exalta is an interesting reel. I spent some interesting sessions after carp last season using my somewhat battered one (a proper 'user') loaded with 10lb and a variety of MkIV's. Good to use, but not, in my humble opinion, quite up to Altex standard - particularly the lack of subtlety in the spool tension adjustment - it's sort of 'all or nothing'. However, I would imagine it was cheaper to produce than the beautiful, idiosyncratic Altex. Anyway, enjoy! Regards Cat
