Chris Ball tribute at The Carp Society event.
Hi! Just a quick note for the diaries of anyone interested but I've been helping Brian Skoyles this morning in his preparations for a tribute to Chris Ball, which is planned for The Carp Society event at Horseshoe Lake at Lechlade on Saturday, June 29th. I have no direct involvement and probably won't go but I thought it might be of interest to others.....

Thank you Skeff for taking the trouble to pass on this information.
Chris was a legend and will be sorely missed.
Coincidently I was discussing him only a few days ago and his habit of mixing his metaphors and sayings. One such one was on floater fishing for carp, he struck too early and pulled the bait from the fishes mouth. His comment of “one swallow doesn’t make a summer” had everyone not only in stitches, but wondering was this another mangled saying or was he the ultimate dead-pan comedian

A sad loss I had many happy chats with Chris and loved his enthusiasm for everything.
