ImageImageImageImageImageImagewell, 'tis done . i've tried to make a silk purse from a sows ear , not without some success iImageImage feel. still a few water marks on a few glue lines but all sections are good and solid . the top ferrule will need replacing in a few years , but not today. i have added inters to the taper tip so it can be used with confidence. i also used the lightest rings i have - and added one extra to even the load, so flicking out a light float will be it's forte.you can see part of the twin taper transfer in a couple of pics. the main transfer is not quite complete , so 8/10 for that. the rod is straight and will catch fish . well what do you expect for £20 ????--------coincidentally the same money i paid for the 30 y/o camera which still takes a decent photo ! lol

A result to take great pride in, Sir ... and which, I'm sure, will please you on the bank both in it's appearance, and it's practicality ! :Hat:

"A" grade shives on the handle too. Rare for a Sealey rod.

the shives are all in good nick . all that was needed was a wire brush on the reel bands, and a wash and brush up on the cork
