Thanks Ted, also caught it on the Bill Rushmer rod you sold me. Maybe some of the luck Bill enjoyed had rubbed off,so to speak :Hat:

That's my pie. Not for sharing lol. Always like a bit of crimble crumble for afters.
Bogger wrote: Sat Aug 10, 2024 8:55 pm Well done to the Desperate Dan of Roach fishing. Keep up the good work.

Then you'll know about Singletons Pies then. A great pie is a work of art and should be revered as such before it is scoffed.

To everyone else thanks for reading my ramblings and taking the time to comment.

Went back yesterday to see if anymore big roach wanted to play.

Caught a shed load of scamps.....lost count with two making the trip worthwhile:

The bigger one was weighed at 1lb 4 oz. Very nice.

Lost a big leather carp too. No line breakage or anything of that ilk, it literally just let go after pulling the rod over in a convincing manner. Watched it swim away with a smug look on its face. Estimated at well over thirty pounds.

C'est la vie, c'est la guerre!

No big roach, by that meaning over two pounds, but they are there, make no mistake.
