Grice and young line guard screw size advice .

Post by Kev D »

l'm far from fussy about my tackle but l do like the aesthetics of matching rod and reel of roughly the same period .
My Marco Arun has always foxed me . Even the Mordex Merlin didn't quite look or feel right on it .
Then l remembered l had never tried my Grice and young Avon Royal Supreme on the rod.
Great match ; a pleasing , workmanlike combination .
I'm not keen on line-guards but a very breezy and unsuccessful ( unless you count a foul-hooked bleak) trip with the Marco Arun after Arun mullet indicated that such things have a place.
Could anyone please tell me the thread size of the line guard screws l need?
Thank you.

In order to shoot some close-ups, wildlife photographer ,the late Len Scapstillon, lured the orca to him by dressing as a seal.......

It will most likely be a BA thread, I would suggest either 6BA or 8BA. Readily available on line.
