Another Perch Session.

Post by Catfish.017 »

This time with Perch caught, twenty odd of them! But not one bigger than six ounces. This was the firstImage
Barely half an ounce!
This was the largestImage
And this was where I caught the bulk of themImageImage
Below the river lock at Alrewas which incidentally was closed because yesterday's heavy rain had brought the Trent up just over its banks. The Millstream was high and coloured too and creating a back flow in my chosen spot. Lots of small Roach were topping here too. If I'd had maggots I think I could have caught quite a few?
The swim died after an hour so I backtracked to the Millstream Bridge and caught another half a dozen in short order before heading off home pleased that the weathermen, true to form, had got it completely wrong and not a drop fell all day!

All perch are beautiful! Size is highly overrated in my humble opinion!
Well done!
