Chapman 500 - What do you use yours for?
Hello Everyone.
What do you fish for with your Chapman 500? Purley out of interest of course, and obviously if you own one.
Thank you for your time.

Evening Tony, go-to tench rod for me (along with a Marco Standard Carp). Lovely all-rounder. Regards Cat

Great all rounder. Paired with a Trudex centre pin for Roach, Perch and Crucians. I have landed a Carp or two, around 5 - 6 lbs which put a nice hoop in the rod.

At one time mine was used for everything as it was my only cane rod. Paired with a G&Y Avon Royal it handled Carp to 12lb, Bream to 8lb, chub to 4lb and a host of other good sized fish.

Re: Chapman 500 - What do you use yours for?
If I’m honest, almost anything. If I can’t decide on a rod, or I’m not sure what’s in a water new to me, then I pick up the 500. A tad easier to move around with than other Avon style rods because of the separate handle. I just wish it came with high bell rings!
