A centrepin, perfect for ‘close in’ carping. The closer in the better. Looking at Mr B’s highly sophisticated diagram the more I like Dave’s wader principle

Practice,practice,practice!! for the Wallis cast. I can do a very rudimentary Wallis but if accuracy is needed for more than a couple of rod lengths then I switch to a FS. The best Wallis caster I have seen in action is Allrounder,he can cast a float or light link ledger to the far side of the Avon with ease and accuracy

Our very own Martin James Wallis casts, and sends a float out with pin point Accuracy as his centerpin wizzes out untangled.
This post has reminded me to practice..., and straighten my rod rings out Mr Bure, and try to brush up on my art work... I am deeply hurt Niceroach, I'm very very sensitive....

The close season is an important and interesting time for the Angler who set out to catch big fish. It is a timely opportunity for him to make new tackle or renovate old. There are no end of jobs to do, apart from those horrible things called Gardens!
