The close season is an important and interesting time for the Angler who set out to catch big fish. It is a timely opportunity for him to make new tackle or renovate old. There are no end of jobs to do, apart from those horrible things called Gardens!

Thanks, funny enough had another strike right arrive today, a 4" mint condition one that close on looks like it just came of the production line, a quick clean and lube up with light oil and change the ratchet pawl to opposite "click" and now its pretty sweet, no model number on the badge, but a very nice reelMr B wrote: Sat Nov 16, 2024 10:06 am Welcome Carpin,

My first centrepin was a Strikeright Ultraflo, and it's still my go-to reel, loaded with 8lb line, for stalking carp, nearly fifty years on. I have another Strikeright loaded with 12lb line for snaggy areas.
