Obviously it needs to be carefully tested, but some old hooks to nylon can be surprisingly good - if they've been stored away from the ravages of UV light.

There will be limits on how old is sensible to try, but I have used many (once checked) that were as good as the day they were tied.

It is highly doubtful if that would apply to any as old as these:
