I was wondering if anyone had an update as to the restoration of the lake, which has been closed to angling now for quite a while?

I do love some of our old historic lakes that can still be fished in England.
I never got round to this one and looking at the information, I don't think it will happen again. I hope I'm wrong.
You probably have read Phil that it will be closed for Fishing for "the foreseeable future"..
Lets hope not..
A great memory though.. a nice Bream, and gentle row at an historical venue, life can be very sweet.
"Capability Brown "would be pleased
Mr B.

The close season is an important and interesting time for the Angler who set out to catch big fish. It is a timely opportunity for him to make new tackle or renovate old. There are no end of jobs to do, apart from those horrible things called Gardens!

Sorry.... you were talking about the restoration...
I did read all about it a few months ago but have forgotten the details....
Something to look into in the new year...

My Society had their own boat there. We still have the boat and are awaiting a further response from the Estate regarding their restocking. Also if we can return in the future.
We hold the fishing rights to to river Evenlode within the Estate.
