Re: Centre Pin Or Fly Reel?
I had many friends who used aerials as fly reels.

There was a fly reel in the Aerialite range.
Heres a couple of pages showing the various Aerialite models from the Allcocks catalogue.

The subject reel has a slater latch which doesn't just make for quick spool removal it gives it an greatly improved and more stable spin. Reels with such a fitting would have been more expensive when new and are now much more desirable and worth more money than examples of same that haven't. Your fiver was very well spent.
