Just a some pictures from my last Perch trip last autumn, it was a lovely mild day with a few dragonflies still about as well as perch. I had a few little ones like this and the inevitable one that got away after a bit of a fight as the hook-hold just suddenly went in open water, a bit later when talking to my friend the club secretary for the lake he helpfully informed me " Did you know four or five days ago someone had a 3lb 9oz Perch out of that same swim you were fishing last week" I bet it wasn't as pretty as mine though, must go again soon, Mike.
If you have no grease with you, and your rings are full of ice, do not cut out the ice with a pen-knife but get your man to put the rings one by one in his mouth, and so to thaw the ice.
John Bickerdyke.
A fine specimen there Malcolm.
I've just realized something, the 15g on my little spinning rods butt must refer to the size of fish I will catch with it and not the optimum casting weight, Mike.
