Hopkins and holloway

Post by Lovatt »

Dear friends, today I discovered some right or wrong news on the internet regarding Hopkins and Holloway - guides and blanks. The long standing manufacturer has ceased business and will be closing down. liquidators are to be moving in to dispose of unsold stock, truly a sad day.

It would be good to know who buys the old stock. I presume it will be someone associated with fishing tackle etc.
This might give us an opportunity to purchase some of the remaining stock.

When Mchardy s closed, most of the stock ended up on ebay in lots to suit most builders/restorers. I hope the receivers do the same.

Buying them from Ebay would be a good thing, I like our English twist snake guides for my cane fly rods, lucky I brought some in advance, when I run out looks like I will have to make my own from music wire, thanks for the extended information available in the other post.
