Absolutely filthy dirty but it's all there and working. Just has a small nick out the end of the rod mounting bar at the top. Having seen your nice shiny one I'm looking forward to getting this one cleaned up and using it.
I'm planning to join Diss Angling Club in June and do a bit of Vintage fishing on the river Waveney for some Perch, Dace & Chub and I think this little reel would go nicely with the Anon Shaw split cane float rod I'm currently rebuilding.
I've not done any reel refurbishment before so I'd like to ask a few questions please.
I reckon, like yours, this one is gonna be pretty gunked up inside, hows the best way to clean it up and whats the best type of grease to use again afterwards please? For cleaning the body I'm guessing a good wash and then lots of elbow grease with some Duraglit?
Any top tips would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Gary

This time i refurbished a P.M Tamson reel made in Holland
The alloy was very dirty and there was a lot off old grease inside, cleaned it all and polished all parts.
The reel spins well after this job and is a possible user
