I'm really looking forward to Sunday. I missed last year due to a holiday clash, but I found this picture of my table (photo courtesy of Jeremy C :Hat:) from 2023. I was indeed next door to Breadflake whom I've met again twice since. Nearly two years down the road I won't feel such a 'newbie' this time and will be looking forward to renewing old acquaintances and making new ones.

Looking at the picture, I've spotted at least half a dozen items I'm now very pleased I didn't sell!

Isn't it funny how things we possess slip in and out of our favour? I suppose that is a good thing really - otherwise there'd never be any vintage gear for sale! :Chuckle:

I was hoping to make my first visit to this fair, living very local. Think previous years have been on Bank Holiday weekends.
However a combination of Sky TV and South Yorkshire Police Force have put a stop to that moving the steel city derby to 12.30 on Sunday, an awful time to play or watch sport.
Maybe next year.

Yet another excellent morning at Brinsworth.

It was a great pleasure to meet and have a good old chat with Wanderer, Jeremy Croxall and Old Man River. It was also nice to see Barbelseeker, Banksy and of course BendSomeCane again -together with a few now familiar faces from among the Ravenfield membership. I even unexpectedly bumped into Alex Prouse of Zoota Lures and Dave Jubb, formerly an active member of the Sheffield PAC. Small world! I'm pretty sure I also spoke to Floater and no doubt a few others from TFF too. :Hat:

I trust everyone got home safely and with a few good bargains to boot. :Thumb:

A good day at the Yorkshire vintage Angling fair.
Nice to meet up with friends, acquaintances and fellow TFF members.
Only me "manning" my table this year, due to the fact that my friend and fellow TFF member, Breadflake, was unable to attend. I missed him, and due to the fact that I couldn't leave my table and go wandering, I only spent the princely sum of £1.00 on a landing net frame, nothing more. This was a late purchase when an old friend from my schooldays turned up and he was good enough to keep an eye on things for me.Normally, I have to try to hold myself in check, due to the lovely fishing things for sale, but I didn't get the chance to "splash the cash" this year.
Another successful fair and I would like to thank all who are responsible for its successful organisation (especially Bendsomecane)

I think the key to increasing the success of the fair and to continue it's growth, will be more advertising .
If people don't know about it, they cant turn up.

Had some really nice conversations with like minded people this year.

Looking forward to the next one already !

All the best Chaps. :Hat:
