Very similar but only 4 inches of cork on the 8 inch Thames float, this one must have 6 inches judging by the lighter in the picture. It could very well be a pike float..

See what you mean WC, the stem on mine is a lot shorter with the cork all the way down.. The thames has a longer stem

If you look at the descriptions of these Harcorks, you will see 8" Thames
We come from that part of the world originally and remember my dad using these on the Thames

I think the maker is 'Auger' and the range 'nevamiss'. I have several Auger floats and they have the same colour scheme and coach lines etc.

Yes I think you've got it Dave, I can see the resemblance in the colour scheme. We need a Auger catalogue now to find it's intended use..
