I've renovated some of the easier ones, such as the "maxima", as they don't have decals or spacer bars, and are completely held together with screws, but I am very impressed with the quality of your work.
An old man, who's only pleasure left in life, is sitting by some water, fiddling with his maggots?

Dear Master Evert, Sir.
Some of our fellow members don't use the fakebook, some might even consider it rather dreadful.
So wouldn't it be a good idea to start some kind of blog here, now that you're a member of the TFF?
Why not begin with posting some 'before' and 'after' footage of reels you have already brought back to life?
The main advantage would be that all the information won't get lost and one may always look it up, if desired.
In my opinion, the magic you work on those reels is outstanding and many a traditional fishermen would enjoy marvelling at your restorations.
What do you think?
Kind regards,
Hamburger

I concur...I wouldn't open a Facebook account if you paid me to. Horrible site that targets you for advertisers and causes so much trouble for the police here in the UK.

I suppose its a case of whatever floats your boat, I`m member of a few groups and have obtained specialist information that I wouldn't have gained anywhere else.... But I concur with Nobby, as a person who used to enforce criminal legislation and assisted the police in relation to counterfeit/copyright etc., Facebook did prove awkward to enforce, but it was possible...But it will never be on the same level as a certain famous auction site, who appear to condone dodgy sellers, unless proved otherwise....

I think it is a good plan Hamburger only have to see where to start, there is a point to make that face book is not the best place to be but it's how you deal with it. every body can see and share what you post on Face book so you don't post information that can cause damage to your or any other. Unfortunately that is not what the most people do.
i try to keep my Facebook group clean off any thing that can do some damage to other,s.
So i try to start a topic some where over here on refurbishing reels and tackle and see what happen with it,

Meanwhile, the asking price for the original item 111548749603 on ebay is going down again. Sooner or later he'll get down to £40 which is what I told him he'd get at best.

What is your favourite word?
I suspect it could be “love”, despite its drawbacks in the rhyming department.
