Complete with a consulate cigarette in his hand, apparently he got through 60 a day when he was fishing.

No, its was an early type of nylon produced at Farnborough where Dick worked on Radar

It is the Redmire punt. It is just a different Redmire punt than today's punt.

Dear Mark yes they were, to me Dick was more than a great angler he was a true gentleman, I felt he was a second father. He taught me to be a better and more caring person. Regards Martin

That’s lovely Martin. I know I’m not speaking for myself here and as I’m sure most if not all of us on this forum would have loved to have met Dick, I do envy you Martin.

I love the book ‘Our days with Dick’ particularly the photo on page 61 from the chapter by Chris Ball, ‘Dick in later life, still catching carp’. Dick with a small common cradled in his lap, that hat and smile say it all. I really do like that photo.

Would I be correct in saying that Chris Yates never did meet Dick.
