Brilliant result from you all, it just shows what can be done with determination and a passion. I remember many moons ago when I worked up by Seven sisters, Tottenham (when the riots were going on), I used to travel around that area and the waters always looked suspect and forlorn . I never had the time to fish around the area due to work commitments unfortunately. I do remember seeing fish on the surface down by Bromley by Bow though, which surprised me at the time.

Hello, just seen your good work on the swan and pike pool at enfield lock,i too used to fish there in the old days, mainly used to fish in the 'bomb hole' just behind there, I know I keep on about it but I,ve heard bad things about the place,i was told that a local had seen people taking fish away in carrier bags and the police and E.A were not interested.

Wouldn't be surprised. What with cormorants and signal crayfish, the poor old Lea is taking a pounding!

This was the result of the combined Lee Valley park/CRT volunteers group work on the Swan and Pike pool - restored to its former glory. And apparently, both swans and pike have been subsequently seen there!
