Would it be cheeky of me to ask for a copy of the CAD/Engineering drawings as I know a machinist/toolmaker who maybe happy to have a go at the metalwork for me.

Thanks Leigh,

I am a carpenter, no formal engineering training, although I was taught the basics with the Royal Engineers many years ago, mostly 'make do and mend' with hacksaw and file.

Finished at last...

Thank you to all forum members for the help and encouragement received during this project, it is much appreciated.

36" arms and a 5' 6" handle, whipped in chestnut silk with black intermediates to match an early Walker mk IV replica.
