I guess there is a fairly high chance that the fishing will end - depends on who buys the estate and whether they want a large sum each year from fishing.
If fishing ceases permanently it would be really good if allthe carp could be moved to suitable good old pool elsewhere, but the one really interesting aspect of this is that it may mean that the pool could be completely drained - then that will settle the never ending question as to whether there are unknown/uncaught fish in there and how big they are.
There is no peace on earth like the peace of fishing in the early mornings

I thought I'd read somewhere that Skeff was in the throes of restoring the pool to its former glory.....take it thats now on the back burner

If someone buys the Estate what difference will a few grand or tens of grands make to their pocket? Very little I think.

Hopefully the purchaser will take on board the significance of Redmire - but that may be wishful ------

Other famous waters have suffered "fates" -- not always to the anglers advantage.

Good income for the estate, phone wars, next week? last chance to rock up to Redmire in the van like Rod and Ragman. If this story was set in Cheshire the rumour mill would be"Wayne Rooneys buying it" as footie ballends and business men are the new squires now,the old money ran out..

I had heard that the estate was going to be sold but the Richardson family wanted to keep control of the pool. Maybe this wasn't practical.
I guess it is a case of watch this space and hope for the best.
