I now have 3 Deerhunter jackets - light for summer/autumn; a full on winter lined one and a 100% water/thorn-proof one which needs an under layer. All at discount prices - all excellent - along with their similarly lined trousers & salopetees.

Having suffered from both pleurisy and pneumonia I went for these initially some 15 years ago.- Not been cold or wet since & can carry on winter fishing under the brolly or in the rain with so far - impunity! :Hat:

Hi
I went for a quilt lined Barbour last year and I would really recommend it with a hood it’s great and means no heavy jumpers . Plus a bit traditional ! Got it from Orvis shop
Cheers
Martin

I agree Harry, Hoggs website is worth a look, they do a wool composite tweed, they look smart if your not fishing as well, if you get the old seasons designs you get a real bargain,

Well done Dave - I should now (at last) get a commission/fee for what was a gruelling photo session.
They promised me so much as well.......
Many thanks

Have you been moonlighting Peter , if not, the resemblance is uncanny .

Or is it Rick Wakeman ?

Or Seasick Steve?

Had mine a couple of years now and I've yet to find a warmer coat for winter... that said, I don't fish in it... (maybe I should) the material is "Weapon's Grade" and fairly wayerproof too... my good lady treated me at Christmas with it...
