Welcome and enjoy.
The land of lakes and ponds - fishing, hunting & shooting!
Had several holidays near Gien and have fished Etang du Puits.

You've just got Olly! It's funny that you mention Gien because I lived there for five years and just recently moved. The Etang du Puits is a fairly famous place. The Loire river is also quite magical. One of the pioneers of carp fishing in France, the Mahin brothers, are originally from the area. Briare and its Pont Canal is also a place not to be missed!

Bienvenue aux fous. Veuillez n'utiliser qu'à petites doses.

Seriously, be very careful around here. The body of knowledge around here seems inexhaustible and supplies you with ideas without ending.
I myself came here to learn more about cane rods as I became very fond of a more slow and traditional angling mindset during the last few years.
Well… I ended up adding two interesting cane rods to my collection !!!just during the last four weeks.!!! :Hahaha:
(I’ll reaveal my latest acquisition soon)

So be warned!! It’s great here!
Welcome!,

A+

Welcome to the forum Nicolas! I live in the Correze near Brive so not a long way from you. Where do you fish and what do you fish for?

Welcome to the TFF, Nicolas!

Well, there's of course a lot to learn from our English friends when it comes to angling.

But look what I've found on a French website some time ago.

An inline rod made of Spanish reed (?) - can it get any more intriguing?
Maybe you can find out more about this ...
