I must admit to having, in the long, lost past (ahem!) referred to such whipping as tow-rope...uncharitably!

i reckon it is /was the Westham in Sussex . there was a tackle shop there - long gone .

at the risk of being pedantic Westham and Pevensey Bay are separate entities

Dura Glit wadding rather than Brasso ----- Brasso is abrasive Dura Glit is not . you should avoid removing metal . the ferrule fitted once and it will do so again
