Rob, its a lovely rod, the cane is outstanding quality and feels like a well tempered spring so yes mate very sexy haha.
All the Adonis rods I have worked on have been impressive, I can see the appeal with specimen anglers. Plenty of power without being too heavy.

I have an "Adonis" which is the same length as yours Wal - 10' 8" - 44"; 43 & 3/4" & 43".

Handwritten "W. A . Allcocks Adonis".

It's a lovely & quite powerful rod but I always thought it was too short to be sure that it was the real thing.

Funny that both our rods are the same length.

Craig.

Amendment - script says "Allcock" - no "s".

Rings, ferrules, whipping & the cane all look as per the one in the advert posted but it's been refurbished to a high standard.

Thanks for that Craig. I did wonder if they made different
Lengths of the Adonis or whether they were different models. The Adonis writing on mine was hand written too. A catalogue would nice, if one exists.

The only difference I can find on mine compared to other Adonis rods is the female ferrules have splint ends like the male counters. On other ones the female has just been plain ended.
