Just found No: 48514. An 11ft Avon road - similar to a Wizard.

A recent check of my collection:
Steel tip No. 867
Featherlite 10 1/2ft No number
Featherlite 10 1/2ft No number
Featherlite 12ft No. 4308
Senior Featherlite 12ft No. 5901
Swimversa No. 7078
Swimversa No number
Matchcraft No number
Hexacane carp No number
Floatcraft No. 2157
Floatrover 96145
The rods without numbers may have had them removed in past renovations.
The numbers seem to be higher on the most recent rods. My oldest rod is the Steel tip dating from 1938/39 (number 867), the most recent is the Floatrover which has a plastic butt cap (number 96145). Other than that probably flawed observation, I haven't a clue what the numbers mean!
Anyone know why they used "Senior" Featherlite on one 12ft rod, and just Featherlite on another?
