You're on a slippery slope. Where there's one centrepin, there are several others you will probably need. Where there's your first cane rod, there will soon be a cane forest.

Welcome. My top tip is learning to hide all the rods and reels you will no doubt acquire in various places, and not all together. Enjoy!

I am after some advice as I have just brought a duracast reel and though it spins I was wondering if there was any advice on improving its rotation.

Welcome John, as others have mentioned it is a slippery slope but one of the most worthwhile and satisfying pastimes a person can have.
