My first two bits of non floating home made tackle.

Bank stick courtesy of Paul Duffields book. Still needs to be tested and a smaller one made to match.

Catapult was made earlier this year and has had a few adaptations since. The hardest part was sewing the soft leather pouch made from an old broken wallet.

Just a little enhancement to my disgorger, to make it float and also easier to hold on a frosty morning. The bamboo was from a friend's back garden, on the banks of the Ebro; a reminder of sunnier days!

Prototype of "new" design, 3 3/4" Coxon Aerial.
The back is made from laminated ebony & walnut woods and features a rim-operated check and bone handles. The drum also features ebony and walnut with faux "ventilations" which are actually inlaid walnut and not 'through' holes. This is a trial reel and has not been finished as well as I wanted to see if the design is feasible. The next one will include a lineguard.
Have included the TFF Aerial in two pics. for comparison.

What fantastic reels and fine examples of your skills as an engineer and craftsman, in my opinion you are up there with the top reel makers.

Regards
John Harding.

I have gone very weak indeed...

You are just in another universe with this craftsmanship (no, it's more than that). Utterly inspirational as ever. Thanks for showing us.
