Richard Walker Specialist cane 8ft 6in 2 piece, the Mullocks 2013 catalogue lists one. This has now been added to the first post.

I can confirm The swallow.Three piece split cane 12 feet long.An early "Built to Endure" label.Name in a diagonal gold band.

The Grebe Major was also built as a 9ft rod too,I have one it's excellent for winter chub fishing on smaller rivers.

Comparing my Grebes of all three lengths some years ago, I would saying the only difference was the length. Possibly a tad different in tapers but not much in it.

I have a cane rod marked " The Bittern " but with no makers name
Is there any possibility this could be a B James?

Please update the front page of this thread .... The 'Heron' is a 3 piece, all split cane rod of 11ft. 2in length.

I've a B. James rod which a friend reckons its a 'stepped up' Carp. However, the decals just say Mk IV and I'm no expert
although the tip section looks fairly stout. Can the B.James experts help out with identification?

We also need a new button and would he happy if someone can help.
