That has to be one of the prettiest carp I've seen. A staggering fish.

Not too badly thanks.... We were joined to the inland sea on the Levels along a twenty yard length of bank but no harm done and no risk to the fish. In fact in a strange way I've taken comfort that by raising that length of bank this coming summer we will be safe from any future floods.

The fish are certainly thriving and enjoying the wind and rain, judging by the number caught this spring.

Si Fisher landed three of Ashmead's big commons this week. Petals at 39.12, Psst at 38 and Gray's Common at 27.09. it was a superb display of carp angling at it's best - Si is very much the thinking angler and is one of the best catchers of carp I've ever met. He has been chasing Petals for five years..... I'd love to land this one on cane and pin!
