You will get many different answers on this and it will also depend on budget.
A good Grice and Young's or Speedia will serve you well :Hat:

My go-to reel is an Allcocks 4in Aerial Popular - not too cheap but very reliable. I use it for stalking with an LRH 2 which is slightly more powerful than the LRH 1.

Sorry only just seen the other replies to my post, thank you all, size of Carp would be no more than 20 lbs and budget around £250 too £350
