Certainly the picture isn't of Chris Yates, perhaps it's the seller?
Although he doesn't live there he does fish a lake near Blandford Forum, where the seller is apparently based.

I would have thought if it was a scam then they would have picked a more up to date famous angler eg Martin Bowler or Matt Hayes

Might be genuine, I just thought it was out of character and I was surprised by his choice of charity, perhaps he was cornered by a mate !
