Redmire Log - who owns it and...?

Post by Tengisgol »

I was looking at an old copy of Carp Fisher and an article by John Carver. It occurred to me that it would make an excellent book if it were facsimile copied (I think that is the correct expression) and raise money for the Angling Trust or some other worthy cause.

Does anyone know who holds or owns it?

Very interesting question I for one would love to have a look through

I'm pretty sure Les Bamford has it.
“Fishing is much more than fish. It is the great occasion when we may return to the fine simplicity of our forefathers,” Herbert Hoover.

The issue of reproducing the log is not who actually has possession of it but who owns the copyright to the writing in it. Well, I can answer that. The authors have the copyright or, in the case of those already deceased, their heirs. Getting permission would be virtually impossible.

I guess that's why it hasn't been done before...

Thanks for clarifying Kevin; I guess we'll have to wait for copyright to expire which will almost certainly be long after I make my first cast into the 'Redmire in the sky'!
