Despite the weed some trotting was possible, in the deeper sections:

Waggler on the Test yesterday:

Two of the dozen or so nuisance trout still marauding the river at present.

Some nice grayling made a welcome relief:

Also a bucket load of minnows........

No roach today. :(

All in all a satisfactory day though. :Hat:

Thanks,
Craig.
There’s actually some good fishing in Romsey itself in the Memorial Park. Tickets from Test Valley Borough Council offices in Romsey. All sorts in there including trout, chub, dace, grayling, perch, roach. All to specimen size. Best spot is the big deep bend behind the padlocked entrance gate.

Some of the better fish from the Test caught by a Fat, pie scoffing, tea slurping slob whilst lurching the stream.

Photography is not a strong point but the size is plainly obvious, so good enough :Hat:

Nuff said.

Some nice fish there Moley. What stretch of river do you fish? I’ve fished various parts of the river over the years. In fact, I’d say it’s my favourite river. I even prefer it to the Avon.

The Southampton Piscatorial stretch mainly lnthe past. However a lovely syndicate water in the town is where most stream lurching takes place nowadays. Also secret stretches where Fatty used to help various keepers who in return would allow a day after the roach...Keepers are now an endangered species sadly.

Ahh, yes… I know of the syndicate stretch I think. By invitation only I believe.
