The reel itself is in excellent condition, only thing missing was a box. It looks as though it has hardly been used, no grit evident at all.
On removing the handle i noticed that it was the first one i have seen that didn't have any blistering at all under the "chrome" coating.
Opening the sideplate, i was greeted with a shiny COPPER main gear!! I would have thought copper too soft but hey ho!
This spool oscillation mechanism is also the first i have seen on a Morritts reel.
