This Allcocks aerial Popular with heavy oxide layers, no knobs on it was send to me with the question if i could do something with it. I removed the first layer off oxide with a thin blade very carefully, after that was to see that there where no cracks or other damage on the reel that could give major problems, only some pitting coursed by the oxide but was not too bad. start to polish and clean the reel make some new knobs from antler and put it back to gather after i bring on some color to it, the paint layer is a bit transparent so it would keep his vintage look Image Image Image Image Image Image Image

Hi Evert,

what a lovely job you've done there! You could think of asking someone with a lathe to produce brass handle seats to fill the gaps to the inner spool rim. Open as it is now the line might snap if it tangles around the handle knobs during "casting accidents".

Lovely job Evert, in fact its a total transformation   but you will have to change those cross head handle screws to slotted ones. :Hat:
