Hi all
I was doing a spot of roach fishing the other day and when I hooked a nice fish a pike of 7lbcame to the surface to have a go at it.the roach scampered into the bank side weed and the pike chased it.the roach got off the hook and made good it's escape but while the pike was in the weed it spotted my keep net and came straight over for a good look.i scared it away 4 times but it kept coming back.i got a bit fed up with it as the roach in the net were pulling away from it and dragging my net round, what I did next was amazing, enter "I got you mr pike"in utube to see the end result.brilliant haha

Haha, the way things are going I might as well Dave.i was at the same location a few years ago and had the landing net lying with the pan submerged and I couldn't get a bite for toffee.when I packed up and lifted the net I had a roach in it,luckily my mate was there to see it or I would have been branded a loony ha,life's full of surprises Dave and it just goes to show how unaffraid fish are if they don't see people often.

I see from your blog Dave you had a trip to the west coast.i was working in Oban a couple of weeks ago and all it did was rain.the scenery was great and the roads are so empty,it made a real change from the usual noisy 100mph world we live in.i love the silence.

Ian's video:

Some funny stuff happens when you go fishing doesn't it? I was once told by a guy that he caught a pike on a white boilie as he brought it back to the bank.

I wasn't sure to put video up on the forum so cheers for that.aye some mental things can happen while fishing but capturing it on camera is a rarity so I'm well chuffed to be able to share it with you guys.

Good "networking" Ian.

Is that a landing net or a pike staff?
