OK ... I'm weak !!!!! ...
... but when the chance to tick off a 'Bucket List' entry presents itself ... I simply HAD to !!!
I've twisted the Colonelgsc's arm into allowing me to become the custodian of his Edward Barder "Merlin" No. 12 built in 1995 ... an 11ft., 2 piece split cane 'avon' rod.
The photographs speak for themselves !!!

A lovely rod Mal, but it is strange that the rod had modern lined rings and threaded tip ring fitted. I can only assume that the original owner wanted it this way?
