Good evening folks,
May i start by saying thanks for having me. I have enjoyed using and collecting traditional/vintage tackle for about 40 years or so now and i look forward to picking your brains and possibly helping out with issues concerning older tackle.
What started me off was watching an old chap playing a lively 16 pound Salmon on an old 12 foot cane rod and a 4 1/2 inch wide drum Aerial.Just watching the rod bending and the reel occasionally paying out the line all worked by the old chaps thumb slowing down the drum and then winding furiously to gain the line back....that was it for me. It took me a couple of years to experience the same thrill and it was just great.
thanks all.
Mick.
