1st attempt

My first attempt at a Crabtree/teardrop net is now complete , the wood for the hoop is I think ash or oak ? I had to steam this for over 1hr to make it pliable enough to bend , I gave up on a brass spreader but after a pm from another member decided to use aluminium rod , so much easier to work with in regards to warming up and bending , the net is knottless and cost me £5 , the handle is a sea rod I purchased off an auction site , it is quiet heavy when all attached but with the few fish I catch I can get over that

Personally, I admire anyone who has the time, patience, skill, perseverance and determination to even attempt such. Delightful Richard. Well done !

Well if that is the result of a first attempt I would suggest you have discovered a previously hidden talent. Very well done indeed.
