I was a member of Taylor Woodrow (Taywoods AS) until a couple of years ago. They still have Littleton North & South I believe. Part of the pit mentioned is still there in Staines, Devils Lane.
I was unlucky with another Club that had produced rudd to 3.15 just before I gained entry - still some 2's but I have not heard of a 'monster' for a few years now - all died out perhaps?
I did catch them to 3+ in France last year. Beautiful fish - perhaps the best looking fish when big!
