Efgeeco Type Canvas Bucket

After over 50 years of continuous use the base of my bait bucket has finally rotted beyond repair.I have thus asked a local company that specialises in canvas goods to give me a quote for making some more.They are a large concern so I have asked them to quote for making 25 so I will have a few to spare! As soon as I get a price I will post more information,to see if anyone else is interested.The days of buying ex army water buckets for £1 are long gone!

I was lucky enough to find this example last year at a boot sale, it is the larger size mint and unused! The stall holder gave it to me as it was inside an old Efgeeco tackle box that I bought from him so he just said have it, what a nice man!

The ex army ones still turn up now and then and there are some really nice replica USArmy and French army ones for about £18.00.
I think my latest one is 1st world war. It was under camping equipment on ebay and if I remember rightly was £12.00.delivered.
Of course everyone will be searching now and the extra bidding will push the price up.

Snape's example was excellent - I hope it is still going?

I have now has a quotation for making 25 canvas buckets which works out at £24.48 each. How many people would wish to purchase one at this price? I clearly do no wish to purchase that number unless the majority are pre ordered. I may also put something on the Crabtree Society FB page.

Would they be made to the same pattern as the photo in Lee Dwellers post Mark including the brass eyelets and press studs ?
I assume they would be made from heavy
canvas and green?
If so I would order one at that price. If, like your last one, they last 50 years I'd be quite happy to se it worn out!

Yes it is excellent but is made from waxed cotton and not heavy canvas. I really like it.
