Parabolic 550?

Evening All,
After some good sessions with grumpy double figure carp so far this season, my 550 is developing a lovely parabolic curve! In no way has this had any detrimental effect on performance. The rod is straight on the horizontal, but my question is, is there any point in attempting to straighten (both) sections with heat through the vertical, or will the 'beautiful' curve just return with applied pressure? I will reverse the whippings on the top section in the winter, but doing so on the bottom one would also reverse the name. The actual process of straightening isn't an issue as I'm competent and confident in taking out set, but, stating the obvious, lateral pressure on straightened set isn't the same as through the vertical plane.
Thanks and regards Cat
