Some Belglows on the left there. No matter, all these old cork on cane floats are so evocative of boyhood angling. I remember using a huge yellow topped Harcork float that took nearly a whole tin of shot to 'cock' it! With my Milbro 'Spinwell' and Intrepid Classic I could cast right across the old 'Boating Lake' . Later I discovered that the deepest water and most of the fish were right under the rod top!

Actuallly I think the red stripe means they are by Auger. Jeff Dell Mura did trace a modern member of the 'Auger family' but he wasn't much interested in talking about the old firm sadly.

This is interesting as I no that one or two may not be by Harcork but don't know who made them.
You lads are helping me to sort them out.
thanks
Fred :Thumb:
PS my wife is giving me the Oh no not floats look, as I've got to many rods, reels, bank sticks,
boxes/bags and terminal tackle. But I've got to do/collect some thing.

Are you a floatoholic Micky, if so I think I may have caught the bug, is it incurable. I think they
may have to stay with me or I may get with drawl symptoms. :Hahaha:
