Hi, after reading a lot of tff articles finally applied and was accepted,
Fished as a youngster in the early seventies and after going through the field sports and motorbikes finally came back to fishing around 10yrs back. Tend to fly fish for course fish especially carp with refurbished Scottie rods, must admit I was amazed at the way an old cane rod held together when put through its paces.
Refurbishing an old Milbro Caledonian at present to use this year, cane with a fibreglass tip so could prove amusing.
Certainly a lot of very knowledgable people out there keeping the old skills and values alive
Cheers
