Nah! A good blast from the buzzer - wakes me up! Miss too many bites otherwise - and the Fairy tops don't fit now!

Re: Quiet Delkim!
My Heron heads fed a home made buzzer in biscuit tin. I mounted it on foam to stop the vibration scaring the carp. Ignoring we were fishing from the pavement of a busy east London Street. Happy days!Homer Simpson wrote: ↑Sun Jun 13, 2021 3:00 pm

There was a tackle shop in Manor Park that used to sell just the Heron heads, not the full set. The owner didn’t agree with ledgering so you had to buy a float as well!

In this standardised, worldwide company world- don't we miss those old shops that could choose to be different?. Remember the " tank suit" room in the shop in Leytonstone? standing knee deep in mouldy ww2 kit trying to find one that fitted just badly rather than terribly?Tony.J.Newman wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 9:54 am There was a tackle shop in Manor Park that used to sell just the Heron heads, not the full set. Re: Quiet Delkim!
My Dad gave me one of his Navy Blue insulated boiler suits emblazoned on the back in Yellow with the legend "United Glass" sadly my dad was only 5'7 and I was a lanky 6 footer, so long fishing socks and wellies were the order of the day to disguise the short length and one NEVER reached above ones head for fear of bifurcating oneself with the crutch seam.... Aaaahh the things we did to go carping in the 70's..... (Seems I've just been mugged in Memory Lane )Ian.R.McDonald wrote: ↑Mon Jun 14, 2021 12:43 pmIn this standardised, worldwide company world- don't we miss those old shops that could choose to be different?. I have lost one of the mouldings that are glued to the face of the speaker
Any ideas for a replacement?

Just noticed that I posted the same question 9 years ago.
It would suggest that not having the cone does not hinder Delkims
