I used to collect the crusts from the local bakers - left over from sandwich making. Usually a big black plastic bag a week!

It is worth asking for bread at your bakery ( independent) if you have one.I work for a butcher/ baker , and we sling a fair bit of bread. I get as much as I need for bait,and loads still goes in the bin.
